About the Author

Richard Caldwell was Professor Emeritus at the University of Southern California. His PhD was from the University of Texas and he specializes in both the Classics and psychoanalysis. He wrote the popular translation of Hesiod's Theogony and a new prose translation of Vergil's Aeneid.
