Getting Started: Using Orberg’s Lingua Latina: Familia Romana

Martha Davis, Tom Walker

Have you thought about trying Hans Orberg’s Lingua Latina: Familia Romana, but felt overwhelmed because it is entirely in Latin?  Did you know that the illustrations have recently received color enhancement? A combination of presentation, demonstration and participant activities will introduce you to the new edition and how it can work in your precollege or college classroom, whether your goal is spoken language or translation. You will learn from veteran users of the text how the lessons are formatted and how easy it is to get started with the book. Much material will be distributed.

Limited to 20 participants. (3 hours)

Latin II - dedicated to those who have attended the first course, Latin I, or who already possess an active knowledge of the fundamental notions of Latin grammar and syntax. 3. Latin III - This module is designed specifically for Latin teachers who wish to improve their didactic skills by applying a wide range of strategies in class and by using the inductive method in the teaching of Latin.
